Fort McMyerson
The McMyerson Seven
Names in stone. Dates in the pamphlet. The pamphlet is shorter than the stone.
Commissioned at the height of WWI, and located on the border of Somerset and Middlesex counties, Fort McMyerson provided continued service straight through the Cold War. It was an integral part of the defense of our country from 1942 until the last of the personnel were moved to nearby Fort Dix, in 1990.
Seven lives. The memorial lists them. One of the old navigation buttons still goes to an error. We have been asked not to fix it.
